wherein Liz defeats tax season

Funny story!

I was not actually on the schedule today for Not the IRS -- I guess my boss took me off for an entire week, not just Tuesday and Thursday. Oops?

But it was still good that I went, in because I was able to finish my one remaining digital return (someone else had completed my two other pending returns; thank you, unspecified coworkers!!!), field a walk-in client, handle a drop-off for Office Uncle, and do some general front desk work and phone answering while other people were buried in their own work.

I will probably drop by the office tomorrow evening just to make sure the client approved that digital return, but I have cleared out my box of stuff for the year and am BEYOND READY to get my Sundays and Tuesdays (plus Thursday evenings) back. :)

Now I am going to go take a small walk, after which I may take a nap. I am still pretty tired, though now it's a more normal tiredness than the utter wash-out no-reserves state I was in for much of last week.

---------------

In other news, I planted some bell peppers and jalapenos in March, and started some zucchini seeds at the start of April, and I started taking them out for short day trips last week while I was stuck at home. Today is fairly chilly, but the sun is glorious so they are once again outside for a few hours.

The peppers will stay indoors for a while longer until I pot them, but I think on Tuesday I may weed the shit out of the garden patch so I can plant the zucchini sprouts on Wednesday or Thursday, once the final danger of frost (we had a snow flurry this morning! what the actual fuck!) has passed.

...

Also I need to text Landlord Dude and ask him if he thinks the back porch/deck is structurally sound or whether it should be replaced wholesale this year. It definitely will need to be replaced next year at the latest, but I might be able to squeeze one more summer out of the slowly disintegrating boards.

We shall see.
