on far-too-subtle jokes, and thunderstorms
My Hitchhikers' Guide joke in "Apartment Manager" got noticed! Yay! (When I drop random references like that into stories, they tend to be obscure and peculiar and only amusing to me, so on the rare occasions I'm obvious enough that people pick up on them, I get very happy.)
Of course, people still haven't found the Star Wars bit in "Tides." And nobody has EVER noticed that Ivan's mother, in "Bluebell," is Snow White. *sigh* I think I was a bit too subtle on that one.

There's a massive thunderstorm currently pounding away up here in Ithaca. On the one hand, it's good because we need the rain (you have no idea how weird that is for me to say, given that this is ITHACA), but on the other... I hope this system clears up soon 'cause I have to do laundry and run errands tomorrow and move on Sunday, and rain is Not Helpful when trying to cart things around through the great outdoors.
