my vacation is not being properly vactiony

I stayed up 'til 4am talking to Vicky, resulting in me needing an overdose of NyQuil to quiet my allergies and let me get some much-needed sleep. Then today I went on an epic quest for a notary public.

See, because I withdrew by way of a medical leave, I had to fill out a form allowing the health center to contact my therapist. And my signature had to be notarized. So I went to the bank, thinking I could find a notary.

She was already gone for the afternoon. They sent me to the pharmacy, who sent me to the travel agency, who sent me to the realtors, who sent me to town hall. Everywhere the notaries were either on vacation or missing. So I kept walking around town in the rain, trying like mad to get this done so I could see my friend Cat before she left to visit relatives for dinner.

Fortunately, the town hall notary was in. Whew.

So I got the form into an evelope and spent an hour or so at Cat's place, poking around her room, catching up a little, and looking at the slides from the Classics Department play from May Day at Bryn Mawr.

Back home now, I've been packing for Minnesota. This consists mostly of me digging things out of one set of boxes and putting them directly into a suitcase. Do not unfold, do not hang up, do not pass Go, and certainly do not expect any $200 here...

*sigh*

And I have to keep on unpacking so my floor will be clear for the cleaning lady tomorrow.

When do I get a break?
