Nah, I actually like a drier cider. It's just that dry alcoholic beverages (and this is true for wines as well) often lose some of their flavoring chemicals as they lose sugar molecules, and can wind up tasting kind of thin. My ideal cider is mid-dry and full-flavored -- I want to be able to taste the apples without feeling like someone is smacking me in the face with a sugar bowl.
