cross-stitch experiments

I decided to try swapping out some colors in a cross-stitch pattern I designed this past winter, and after filling in enough to get a good visual sense of how they would fit in the overall design... nah, I was right the first time.

So now I have to snip some knots and unpick a bunch of stitches, but hey. I have learned something from the experience.

The unpicking is going to be so tedious, though. *sigh*

Unpicking usually is!

Oh well, put on a good show or podcast and lean into the zone...

It's good to experiment.

For future reference, you might try color studies.

I've seen programs for making a cross-stitch pattern, complete with colors. You could probably find one of those that would work for color studies. It's gotta be faster than undoing stitches!
