Job nibble! The tech company that didn't hire me for a customer service/data manager position in October, remembered my name and I'm setting up an interview for a different job there.

[Fic] "The Way of the Apartment Manager" chapter 6 -- Naruto

In which, to the author's bemusement, Yukiko gets sentimental, Gai appears, Kakashi tries to run away with the story, Iruka is adorably flustered, a fight scene is unavoidable, and the 'issues' surrounding Naga finally come to light. Sort of.

I think I may finally understand what people mean when they say a story is writing itself through them. Because this fic is getting completely out of my control. It's still following my basic outline, and it seems to have clear ideas about where it's going, but this is not what I meant to be doing, goshdarnit!

The only other times I've felt like I was channeling something, I knew pretty clearly where in my mind it was coming from. This story, not so much.

It's going to be longer than 7 chapters, by the way. That part of my outline got shot to hell a good while ago.
