wherein Liz bores you with talk about stories you won't see for a while yet
Life has been slow this week. I edited "Along the Way" as per
willowgreen's beta suggestions, and then, because Vicky said she had time, I sent the revised version to my sister for further tweaking.
It's funny, but by this point when I get back a story Vicky's edited for me, I already know what 1/3 to 1/2 of her comments are going to be. Which is weird, because I don't think about her perspective much while I'm writing... but when I'm editing my stuff? Very much yes.
The worst part is that she's right 90 percent of the time. Which is kind of the point, but it's still annoying for me, because it means I'm still screwing up, and in the same damn ways as always.
...
Anyway, life goes on. And I wrote a few hundred words of "Secrets" last night and discovered that the scene I'd been stuck on is not nearly as awful and unmanageable as I'd thought when I last tried to work on the story.
Time is wonderful like that.
...
In other news, I've been reading way too much Supernatural fanfiction. And you know, I think that if I had tv, I might even watch the show. Considering that I never really watched tv even when I had a television, that's saying something. (I fully expect the show would be tacky as hell in most places, because tv shows usually are, but that's the nature of the beast, and I'm prepared to go with it.)
