the logistics of Christmas

I am wearing my sixth-grade class sweatshirt today, which I bought almost ten years ago. It was too big for me then. It's still too big for me -- I didn't grow as much as I hoped I would -- but that's okay. I like big floppy sweatshirts. Sweatshirts are meant to be floppy, not tight and sexy. Sweatshirts are comfort clothing.

I think I should maybe buy myself a university sweatshirt and make someone pay for it as a Christmas present. One can always use more sweatshirts and turtlenecks in Ithaca. Hmmm. Must ask my mom which relatives are still available to "give" me presents, since I've already fobbed pre-bought books off on three of them. It's really nice to know you'll like your holiday gifts, instead of getting weird things like expensive electric razors when you only ever use disposable manual ones.

In other facets of life, the lady at the convenience store where I shop knows me. This is mildly disturbing, since she's now doing things like giving me advice on how to freeze milk to extend its shelf life while I'm home for Thanksgiving. Oh well, at least she's nice.
