No, I don't quote philosophers. What I mean by 'philosophizing' is that people begin to wonder about their reasons for doing various things, their place in the world, and so on. In other words, they sit down and start asking, "Why am I doing this, and what difference does it make anyway?"

I start sentences with 'and,' but I start even more with 'but.' I really, really overuse oppositional sentence structure -- that is, I overuse the words 'but,' 'though,' 'although,' 'however,' and other words of that nature.
