I dunno. I mean, I knew a lot about Ryan at one point, but we drifted far enough apart that I really don't have a clue what he might be thinking these days.

I am terrible at keeping up close relationships -- I often cannot be bothered to put in the time and effort -- but I did try to keep that friendship going for quite a while... possibly longer than worthwhile, in retrospect. Eh. I do miss the way we could have long conversations about actual important topics, though. We argued about politics and stuff, and we kind of lost each other when we got into technical details of our respective obsessions, but at least we both knew that the other person was thinking, and listening.
