I really, really like this Sasuke -- my very favorite point is that he never even considers being _bad_ at teaching, or sewer cleaning, or being blind. Hell no, the last Uchiha is going to be a better ninja, teacher, street sweeper, and darts player than anyone else, eyes or no. That is just such a perfect, precious character point. I like the viceral details of being blind, hurt, and that compensating is never effortless, even when it's easy. I love the way he can help opening up to the children first, and that he's pretty much the best scary teacher ever. I like that you give Naruto a reason to need Sasuke, beyond his simple stubbornness -- that he's the unique connection that battles Naruto forever without rejecting the intimacy that Naruto needs from him. (Ok, or he's not rejecting it now anyway, as he's too hurt blind and confused....) I like that Sakura works for him and fights for him, but doesn't let him tear her heart any more. I found your work through AO3, and while I'm reading the others, I wanted to say how much I loved this one. Thank you for writing it!
