wherein Liz is productive in real life endeavors
My day, let me show you:
1. Went to church, had my photo taken for the directory, and was talked into buying two high-quality prints, one of which I intend to give my parents since they don't have any really good photos of me from the past decade of my life.
2. Walked around the Apple Harvest Festival and managed valiantly NOT to buy baked goods or earrings.
3. Got my hair trimmed -- death to split ends! I have been meaning to get a haircut since, I dunno, May, so this is definitely worth an exclamation point. :-)
4. Went to the mall, where I bought sneakers -- I found a pair that are exactly the same as my current, worn-out pair, which is good because they are some of the best sneakers I've ever had. Also, seeing the new and old shoes next to each other makes it blatantly clear how worn down the treads and soles of my old pair had become. I know I am hard on shoes, but the visual evidence is still striking.
5. Stopped by Borders, since it's right next to the shoe store, and bought a paperback copy of Unseen Academicals, which I had mysteriously failed to buy in hardcover when it first came out.
6. Ate a late-ish lunch at Tops and bought groceries.
Now I am going to look over the lesson plan for teaching Moral Tales tomorrow, and then go to bed. All in all, a very productive day. \o/
