Huh. Weird. I have no problem with just clicking on delete for the comment. Or, when I got the notice on email of the comment submitted to my journal, one of the options in the email is Delete comment, so I just get that option right away, click on delete and it's down without ever even going to the comment page. Does that help? Or maybe try a different browser?
