*sparkles* I'd forgotten how much I like the way these three bounce off each other. And seriously, this is by no means unnecessary or pointless background.

I think a /little/ more on the teakettle demons might be good? A bit about how high they are in relation to the pov character, stuff like that, just so the reader can get the spacial image. How they sound comes through really well, though.
