There are times I'm glad my characters are real people to me (by certain definitions of "real"), and then there are times like this.

I am trying to write a fight scene with Iruka, not pause for Yukiko to try explaining to Naruto why sexy/revealing clothes are a good distraction technique!

*beats head some more*

Originally I was planning to kill Yukiko at some point, but the story kind of got away from me. As of now, it is officially an AU. In canon, Yukiko was one of the many victims of the Kyuubi's attack, and so never had the chance to meet Naruto.

I am trying to stay very close to canon backstory, though, so Naruto isn't going to suddenly become accepted by everyone in Konoha, Yukiko and Naga aren't going to save the village or anything, and yes, Itachi's still going to kill all the Uchiha in about two years. (Including Akaro. *pets poor, silly Akaro*)

Aha! That makes sense... and I definitely like that idea. (Except for poor Akaro... not that I liked him, but still...) Now, of course, I have lots of questions about how close you're going to stay to canon (OMG WILL YUKIKO ADOPT HIM?!?! *is spastic*), but I don't want to know the answers because it's such a good fic, and I want to find out the answers as I read! So no asking any more questions questions for me. XD

And I'm glad you're not going to kill Yukiko. I really like her... I'd've cried if you killed her, and that would have just been no fun! :(
