weather and washers
Icky, grey, blah, chilly weather today. Again. Bah. I hereby submit a general protest to the weather bureau:
Dear Sir or Madam:
I have no problem with April showers -- in fact, I quite enjoy them at times, and greatly appreciate their role in bringing May flowers -- but I request that the aforementioned showers be accompanied by higher ambient temperatures, so as to maintain a proper vernal atmosphere.

It is the general consensus of the house that the broken washing machine is getting very irritating, and we'd like it fixed NOW, please. Reminders have been given to the maintenance people, and with any luck something should finally happen in the next couple of days.
Considering that I first complained last Wednesday, this is not an inspiring response time.
