Funny. This exact point of Daredevil was my entry to Marvel comics, years ago when I chanced upon them, I don't anymore know how. Guardian Devil you did right to skip; I do remember how completely silly and pointless that plot came across. I stopped reading somewhere inside the Bendis run, I don't remember anymore where exactly - in part because probably that was all there was wherever I got my hands on it, in part because I lost interest in its downward curve and the lack of development in Milla Donovan, too. In retrospect, I think it was a very good thing that my actual entry into comics were comics from Czech children's/youth magazines and Sandman, not this. Reading this, I very quickly realised how horrible long-running comics/storylines could be to their characters, and how silly some of the superhero storylines could get (thankfully, there wasn't that much of it in this particular stretch). If that impression were my entry, the overall impression of comics in general would probably be much less favourable. :P
