[Linkspam] Madeleine L'Engle is dead

Madeleine L'Engle is dead.

...

I had kind of figured she was old, based on the publication dates of her books, but man. I love her stories. I remember finding A Wrinkle in Time when I was about 8 or so, and then going on a spree over the next couple years reading every one of her books that I could get my hands on. I loved the sense of light and hope that infused her worlds, even when dark things happened. I loved the sense that people could stand up for their beliefs and make a difference.

...

*lights a candle in her memory*

That woman was my childhood. I suppose we'll never know what happened to adult Charles Wallace now.

(Although, for some reason I always assumed she was dead, even when I first read her books ._.)
