Considering human history as a whole, I think marriages based on romantic love are something of an aberration. This is not to say that romantic love is a bad thing, just that I really doubt it's the be-all and end-all of life.

The thing is, I'm not just uninterested in romance, I'm also mostly uninterested in sex, at least as it relates to me personally in real life. That's why I say I'm mostly asexual. It's the combination of the two factors, see? :-)
