Luna Lovegood is evil
Have been bone-deep tired all day, and still achy, but I got to work on time. There were scary stacks of mail and work orders waiting to be dealt with -- remind me NOT to get sick during the week ever again -- and I confess to kind of deliberately not finishing some of it. This was mostly because by the end of the day, I was so tired that it was almost too much effort to type.
It's a funny kind of tired, that recovering-from-being sick. I'm not sleepy, my brain is awake, but I have no energy whatsoever. Quite disconcerting.
----------------------------
This evening, I finished the Drunk!Hermione POV section of "Paint the Town." All that's left is Luna's POV when Ron shows up the next morning and everything hits the fan. Luna is HARD to write.
*kicks brain, attempting to make it think 97 degrees to normal*
*ends up with faux-Drusilla dialogue*
*headdesk*

Luna's thoughts are really quite straightforward. She sees strange things but describes them matter-of-factly. She's not the floaty-dreamy hippie type - exactly.

At the moment, nothing desperately needs beta'ing (you know, that word constantly irritates me -- how are you supposed to turn it into a verb anyway?) and Hermione and Ginny haven't done anything, despite some amusing panicking on both sides. Have also tweaked Hermione's previous POVs to add hints of an attraction to Ginny. *evil grin*
Also, please give me names of some fruit-flavored cocktails Hermione can swill down fairly quickly. Thanks!

Sex on the Beach is probably the most popular fruity cocktail among girls of that age. And no, nobody's going to raise an eyebrow at the name - it's far too common an order for that. Vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice, and I think pineapple juice.
White Russians are creamy rather than fruity, but they fill the requirement for being tasty and non-alcoholic seeming so that they can be swilled down without the drinker even noticing.
I continue to urge Bacardi Breezers on you. Every pub has them, and they come in pretty coloured bottles.
Strawberry daiquiris, mm. They're thick like a Slurpie and come in a pint glass.
I like the LIITs, but they're hardly fruity.

Damn, I wish I had something to drink just now.
