wherein Liz wilts
I stayed half an hour late at work on slightly dubious pretexts, hung out in the back room off the clock for another half hour reading a magazine, and am now lurking in the public library until they kick me off the computer and close at 8:15pm. My reason? Work and the library are air conditioned, and the heat is awful.
Tomorrow I think we are projected to hit 100F.
I am going to go home, eat something very small and light for dinner, and go straight to bed since I expect I will be up every hour or so and sleeping very badly when I get to sleep at all.

I hate each season in turn, but I hate summer most of all. Nothing else is ever quite as purely unbearable.
