One of the nicest feelings I know is getting a review for a story you posted a long time ago, and stopped expecting reviews for. It's like a message out of the past, a little sign saying you're not forgotten. And since you've stopped expecting reviews for the story, you're not disappointed that it's only one review. You're just tickled to get any.

Indeed, I know the feeling well. I occasionally get reviews for an abandoned fic that I haven't written a word for since January 2004 ;)
