nature's first green is gold

Pepper update! As of Sunday April 27th, ten of my thirteen seeds have sprouted, hurrah!

ten pepper seedlings

The ones that had already sprouted in my last picture now look like this:

pepper seedling approx. one week

The ones that have sprouted since then are still a little crumpled, like this:

pepper seedling approx. four days

And one poor seedling only has a single leaf instead of the standard initial pair:

pepper seedling with only one leaf

But they all seem to be growing well. (These are bell peppers, by the way, not hot peppers of any type.)

My onion is also doing fine, despite the repeated squirrel assaults. You see the dirt scattered on the metal table around its pot? That’s what’s left after I scooped several handfuls back into the pot and patted them down to fill in the enormous holes some creature had carelessly dug. *frowns meaningfully into the trees*

They're doing really well! *grins* Have you figured out what to do with that many peppers?
