ugh, weather

It is snowing in Ithaca today. Just little intermittent flurries that never stick to the ground, but still. Snow. Before Thanksgiving. Before even Halloween! I had to bring my peppers in from the back porch so they wouldn't freeze and die.

I wish to register a complaint with the universe at large.

We are supposed to get massive amounts of rain and have mudslides and flooding. So far we've had nothing more than a couple of very light, brief, showers, though they have had real rain in Southern California.

Of course we need the rain, but what we need even more is snow in the Sierras, and if it's an unusually warm winter (which is also predicted), we may not get that even if it's wet.

Snowed a bit in PA as well! I was in Lords Valley, visiting, and we walked out this morning and saw flurries, that were not sticking, but were flurries nonetheless! ;>.< Damn you, global warming. *sigh* I have to hide my little bamboo plant...
