stuff done: Friday-Sunday

1. Paid my monthly rent, paid my credit card bills, and transferred some money to my savings account. Yay financial responsibility!

2. Filed my own taxes, since the waiting period for the EIC is now over. (Go on, ask me about the PATH Act. You know you want to...)

3. Bought groceries. (I failed, however, to buy more applesauce, since my store was completely out of their own un-flavored brand with no added sugar. I will try again on Monday, and hopefully buy a few other things in the process.)

4. Made a Facebook post. I have decided to try posting weekly updates over there this year, not because I particularly care (I really hate their feed algorithms; I just want to see what my 'friends' have actually posted, in chronological order, with no random advertising junk or stuff they've only 'liked' interspersed, ugh) but because that's where a bunch of my non-fannish friends have their main internet lives and I'd like to maintain a toehold of contact with them.

5. Scanned and uploaded more paychecks to the NY health exchange website, as proof of income level eligibility for my current insurance plan, because apparently when they said 'pay stubs' they actually meant 'four weeks' worth of pay stubs' and, I guess, assumed that would be obvious? Which it really isn't, but whatever. *sigh*

6. Watered my houseplants, with a bit of MiracleGro mixed in.

7. Went to my church's community pasta dinner on Saturday night. I skipped out rather than stay for the coffeehouse/open mic portion of the night, because I was not up for quite that much human interaction and also I wanted to rest. (I did not end up going to bed until about 11pm, though, because I am not great at making and following through on good life choices. *sigh*)

8. Youth group Sunday morning! We did some planning for the upcoming lock-in with the Oneonta youth group the first weekend in March, which I then wrote up and sent out as a group email. We'll see how that plays out over the next two weeks.

9. Changed linens.

10. Planted my pepper seeds! Photo post tomorrow, probably. :)

11. Went for a short walk to Ithaca Falls, since it was a stupidly gorgeous and warm day. (Like, sixty degrees Fahrenheit. In February. For the second day in a row. O_o)

12. TOOK A NAP. \o/

13. Thawed two chicken thighs Mom brought up last weekend, sliced them up, and baked them in balsamic salad dressing. (You know how I can tell that I'm not currently depressed, just persistently tired? I did not run out of spoons and quit when I realized the thighs were bone-in rather than boneless. I always buy boneless even though it's more expensive, because I hate slicing meat enough in general; I really, truly, deeply, and sincerely never want to deal with slicing half-frozen meat off bones. I made that choice back in college, I have stuck to it ever since, and I have never once regretted it.)

14. Steamed some broccoli to go with the chicken. I think I will get three meals out of the chicken, all told. I am not entirely sure how the broccoli will portion out. I may have a little left over after the end of the chicken... in which case I'll just add that to the vegetable part of the meals I'm planning for Wednesday and onward. (Tilapia, basically. Mom brought me up a stupid amount of frozen fish as well as the chicken, some ground beef, and some beef chunks for pot roast.)

15. Took compost to the backyard bin. Twice. (The first time was spinach and eggshells from previous dinners and breakfasts. The second time was chicken and broccoli scraps from tonight. I don't have a particularly large kitchen compost container.)

16. Made a little more progress on my Cotton Candy Bingo prompt fic, mostly reconfiguring the opening scene so it will feed better into the climax and conclusion.

I'm going to keep working on the story tonight, and then hopefully go to bed before midnight for the second day in a row. *crosses fingers, makes resolve face at self*
