general life update -- in which Liz is ill
On Tuesday night, I was afraid I might be coming down with a cold, so I took vitamin C and ecchinacea. This did not work; I felt awful on Wednesday -- joint aches, general bone-deep tiredness, horribly sore and dried-out throat, mildly clogged nose -- and PM was wonderful and let me go home early.
I went to sleep at 7:30 last night. I got up at noon today. The thing is, I spent a fair portion of that time getting up to drink more water, take more medicine, or just walk around trying to cool down because I was feverishly hot. I finally gave up relying on the fever-reducers in NyQuil and took two Tylenol, after which I was able to sleep more than an hour and a half without waking.
I still feel awful -- achy, tired, and now my nose and ears are thoroughly clogged, though my throat is slightly less raw and I think the fever has gone away -- and fortunately PM finagled the schedule so I didn't have to work today.
