Mini-Ficlet Prompt Meme: Because Delayed Gratification Is Hard

Point 1: I am making good progress with my WIP Big Bang fic, but it is A) LONG and B) going to need heavy revisions once I do reach the end. I will not get the gratification of posting it and receiving feedback for another whole month.

Point 2: I am not terribly good at delayed gratification.

Solution: Mini-ficlet prompt meme time!

You know the basic drill by now, yes? Pick a square from one of my prompt bingo cards (or what the heck, let's be flexible: for this round, I will also take random words/phrases of your choice!), add one to three characters plus a scenario, and I will write you a ficlet of at least... mmm... let's say 250 words.

Here is my Genprompt Bingo card. For those who prefer lists to graphics, the open squares are: Midnight, Pipes and Beer, Fundamental Particles, Introspection, Light-Hearted, Holiday Cottages, Heart on Sleeve, WILD CARD, Suicide, Another Year Older: Birthdays, Three Wishes, The Age of Reason, Steadfast, Second Person Narration, Space AU, Takeout, Apocalypse

For those who are okay with single-fandom prompts, I also have a Daredevil Bingo card, though past experience suggests most of you don't share that fandom with me, alas. But I will totally write for those prompts... except role reversal or AU: A/B/O squares, since I have plans for those which I will get to in due time, mwahahahaha.

And I have one remaining Cotton Candy Bingo square -- free -- which I am offering since I am still jammed up on the fill I've been trying to write and it would be nice to finally get the card blacked out. (That prompt gets you a minimum of 500 words, because of that challenge's rules.)

Once again, please leave a comment with one to three characters, a prompt from one of my bingo cards (or a word/phrase of your own inspiration!), and a scenario, and I will write you a ficlet of at least 250 words.

Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable enough with most LotR characters to write them. (Also that prompt has already been claimed; I just hadn't gotten around to striking it in the post. Sorry!)

How about this: Rilian at the end of Silver Chair, "free", is Rilian going from one gilded cage to another?
