this is why sleep is a good and necessary thing

Apparently sometime last night or very early this morning, I was really, truly, seriously out of it. You know how I know this?

I somehow forgot to remove a tampon before inserting another one. Then the next time I changed tampons, I only pulled out one -- noticed that it was oddly deformed and kind of hurt to remove -- and didn't notice the second one still in there before I inserted another new tampon. So I had two tampons up there again. Which I only noticed at about 2:30pm, while at work, shortly before my lunch break.

Whoops.

I suppose I can chalk this up as practical evidence that vaginas are stretchier than one might think, and therefore penetrative sex is not as logistically improbable as it often sounds. *headdesk*

So yeah, that's my embarrassing TMI moment of the month. Hopefully it will remain the high point on that scale for the rest of the year as well.

Errrm, TMI but actually that's not uncommon at all. I knew a woman who had to have one surgically removed especially with concerns of toxic shock syndrome developing. And, again TMI but some instructions state that for heavy parts of the cycle, go ahead and use two at the same time. Just make sure they are all removed due to increased TSS risk.

*winces* Oh man. Definitely one of those "well, I was /distracted/!" moments.

When I had a period, that happened more than once.
I do not miss my monthlies.
