birthday greetings; general life update
Jul. 12th, 2007 06:06 pmHappy birthday to
annearchy and
chibirisuchan!
I would do little hearts if I knew how to code them. :-)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
Work went very well today. I think part of it was the talk PM had with ET, but perhaps an equally important factor is that the weather finally broke -- we're down in the upper 70s instead of the upper 90s, and the humidity is reasonable instead of so thick that walking feels like swimming through the air.
Vicky and Ardis are about halfway through their trip around various bits of what used to be Yugoslavia -- Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, and a one day trip out to Montenegro. Dad's on the island, with my Aunt Jan, Uncle Bob, cousin Brian, and Brian's two sons Logan and Geordie (named after the X-Men and Star Trek, respectively -- true story!), helping build a storage shed. And Mom's in NJ with her dog, trying to schedule Thanksgiving already.
It has been brought to my attention that since I am now 25 years old, I can rent a car without paying sky-high insurance rates. I am given to understand that it would be helpful if I would rent a car and drive myself down to NJ for Thanksgiving, thus sparing other people one potential time-crunch scheduling headache (and sparing myself the nuisance of taking a bus and possibly also a train). I think I like this plan. :-)
