"Debts" is a story about Alexiel's cycle of reincarnations, between her trial and the start of the manga. I have eighteen lives planned, including Setsuna. These are the first three. (The ff.net version is here.)

(For those unfamiliar with Angel Sanctuary, Alexiel is under a curse to suffer miserably and die horribly in every human incarnation. So this chapter includes rape, mutilation, slavery, war, marital strife, implied religious fanaticism, murder, and suicide. Future chapters will be equally ugly.)

If you see any historical mistakes I've made, please tell me! I did research, but it was (I admit) a bit spotty and/or based on faded recollections of things I'd read years ago. And thank you again to everyone who helped when I asked for Chinese names several months ago.
