Sundae Dinner starts at 5 today on The Commons
Free ice cream is a thing of beauty. Also, apparently the state legislature has decreed July 2007 a Month of Sundaes in a rather tongue-in-cheek proclamation that will be sent to Gov. Spitzer as well as the governor of Wisconsin (where Two Rivers, the town that just wishes they'd invented the ice cream sundae, is located).
I continue to be tickled by the controversy.
---------------
HP and the DH arrives in our store on Friday. We are strictly forbidden to even open the boxes until Saturday, and reading the books is even more of a no-no.
Unlike SOME PEOPLE, we are going to follow the rules.
OH has been scheduled to help me open the store Saturday morning, which is a great relief. I don't expect to be mobbed, but we are selling the books at 40% off (the same as large chain stores are doing for customers who pre-ordered), and several people have expressed interest and an intention to either show up early in the morning or reserve a book once we have them in-hand and available (we don't pre-reserve things, but we do day-of holds), so... there's always a chance we could get overrun. Fortunately, I know who to call if we look like we'll run out. :-)
