Storytime and holiday stuff
Dec. 23rd, 2007 06:31 pmToday we had 9 kids in class, which is a good number (we have been as low as 2 and as high as 12). Our story was The Little Drummer Boy, which is basically Ezra Jack Keats illustrating the song. It's a very pretty book, and Dawn 'read' it by singing instead of talking. Then we made miniature drums out of plastic yogurt cups, decorated with construction paper and stickers.

Now I am in New Jersey. The trip down was very wet -- rain ranging from faint drizzle to full-on Wrath of God downpours -- but we made pretty good time anyway. Now we're waiting for my Uncle Charles and his family to arrive so we can have dinner, which will be calzones, fettucini alfredo, and other Italian-type foods. I don't know why Italian is the theme of the day, but I'm not complaining. I like calzones. :-)
