Hmmm. Possibly I spoke too soon.
I'm home, and online, and the computer has been running for 11 minutes now. It was working very hard at something for the first five minutes or so -- you know the sound of a computer drudging through a very demanding program -- but it's gone quiet.
I am not sure if this is the calm before the storm or what.
...
You know, it would be just my luck if the Geek Squad guy comes out on Saturday and cannot reproduce the problem. Considering this is the second time something has gone floodgy in the past month or so, that would most likely mean it would just go underground again until, say, Thanksgiving, and then -- third time being the charm and all -- irretrievably fry my hard drive.
I hate feeling technologically illiterate.
