waterfalls
Jan. 20th, 2018 08:57 pmI live just far enough away from Ithaca Falls that I never hear the water inside my apartment, but when Fall Creek is running high, the waterfall makes a constant white-noise backdrop the moment I step out my front door.
I tend to forget about this and get surprised anew each time. *wry*
(I am glad I don't live closer, incidentally, much though I love waterfalls. Houses a block further east start to subtly shake when the water volume gets really high, which is frankly kind of unnerving.)
