Note to self: no, you can't eat a delicious lunch that you happen to be allergic to on the blithe assumption that a two- or three-hour nap will work through the resulting Benadryl coma. You will still be groggy and listless through the evening and that's a whole day gone.
Also, don't eat sandwiches on a day when you've gotten a new filling. Your mouth is sore! Foods that require active chewing will not help!

On the bright side, I only have one more filling left to take care of, so I will be done with this nonsense by Thanksgiving. In retrospect, I really should have gotten dental insurance this year, but I had no way of knowing this multi-cavity mess would come up and in a normal year, the price of two cleanings/checkups is less than buying insurance, so. I roll the dice. This year, I lost. *sigh*
