What I did today: woke up with a cold, which was not a surprise, since it began to hit me around 9pm on Saturday night. I forced myself to shower, dress, and walk to church anyway... where it turned out that nobody had made provision for a Board Minute in the service so I didn't have to talk after all. So I ducked out early and went home, where I slept for about four hours. Then I took another shower, got dressed again, and did laundry in and around roasting a batch of asparagus as my vegetable side for both my belated lunch and my dinner. (The rest of lunch was half a sandwich left over from Saturday and the rest of dinner was five fried dumplings left over from Thursday. Leftovers are lifesavers.)

I also turned my mattress and swapped my lightweight summer blanket for my winter comforter. This is probably not the best day for that, since we're in the middle of an unseasonably warm spell, but it needed doing sooner or later so whatever.

And now I am going to fall into bed once again, because I would like to be able to A) make it to work in the morning and B) pretend to be a moderately functional human being while in the office. *wry*
