Things done today:

1. Rental office job, 10am-6pm. Very boring.

2. Continued reading Sovereign.

3. Started season 3 of The Magnus Archives.

4. Baked banana bread for church coffee hour tomorrow morning.

5. Baked brownies for church coffee hour tomorrow morning. (We are short a couple volunteers so I figured I'd make extra. It's not like making stuff from box mixes is hard, just a little tedious with the mixing and waiting for the oven to heat.)

6. Wrote a ficlet. I am now only 900 words behind pace on my [community profile] getyourwordsout pledge. \o/

7. Made arrangements to get to and from the mid-year Board of Trustees/staff retreat next Saturday, and also decided what food to bring for the potluck lunch. (Dietary restrictions include a tree nut allergy and at least one vegan. So I'm thinking roast vegetables with some salt, pepper, and garlic, and possibly also oregano. Definitely zucchini and eggplant, and I'm thinking I might toss in some carrots and maybe Brussels sprouts if I can find any at the grocery store. We'll see!)

...

Also last night I did some commiserating with my brother over a socially awkward editing situation he's gotten himself into (he is the editor), and also brainstorming for possible classic literature-inspired modern gay romance plots. Because what else is family for, you know? ;)

Now I am going to cover my baked goods for the night and turn in, because I am sleepy and sleep is good.
