hair and blood (not in a bad way!)

1. In frustration, I attempted to trim my hair myself -- or at least the bits on the nape of my neck and right in front of my ears, because they were driving me up the wall. Results: kind of a success? Like, my hair is no longer being flippy and itchy on the back of my neck (I even shaved the little scrappy bits once I got the rest trimmed down), and it doesn't seem to look too uneven. The problem is that now I think I need to trim the rest of my not-technically-bangs as well, because having them long enough to brush into my eyes is even more annoying now that I'm not constantly getting hair flattened under the arms of my glasses. Blargh.
Barber shops and other hair-related businesses can't reopen until Phase 2 of the great New York Un-Pause, so basically not until June if all goes well. I am not exactly counting on all going well. And short hair, unfortunately, does require regular trimming.

Possibly I should buy a pair of electric clippers and just buzz everything down to half an inch or so? That might be simplest.
2. Gave blood! Because the need for blood products doesn't stop in pandemics. This particular drive was in a location I have never before been to, so I left about fifteen minutes earlier than turned out to be necessary because I wasn't sure how much time to allot for "wandering around lost in a strange and mostly empty building with nobody to ask for directions".
I also did some general puttering around my apartment, and some reading, but those two were the big things.
