wherein Liz has no laptop
Jun. 27th, 2020 04:48 pmMy laptop is at Best Buy for the next 3 to 7 days, after which the intermittent bluescreen problem should hopefully be fixed. If I'm very lucky, they'll also fix the "what webcam?" and "what battery?" issues, but I'm not holding my breath on that account.
Annoyingly, the Best Buy in question is in Vestal, an hour-plus drive away from Ithaca, because that store had an available drop-off slot this afternoon while the local Ithaca store had no openings until July 3. (I'm using Best Buy because my parents and I have a joint software service contract there, so we have effectively already paid. I will probably wind up trying another local service shop when the battery (and possibly the webcam) turn out to be hardware problems.)
It is already really frustrating typing this on my phone. *sigh* But I will make do.
