edenfallingToday was a day of interruptions.
Often productive interruptions! We rented an apartment and made a good start on renting two others, all of which have been sitting vacant for too long and it is GOOD to get people in them.
But still. There are so many other things I was planning to do, and I did, like... a third of them? *headdesk*

In other news, when I did laundry on Tuesday, I accidentally walked off and left my summer blanket and my fleece throw in a dryer, because they're not part of my normal laundry routine (I wash the blanket once a year and the fleece twice, when I swap my bed from summer to winter and back again). I realized that at, quite literally, eight minutes past midnight last night, at which time I could do precisely nothing because the laundromat closes at 11pm.
Anyway, this morning I left a note in the little mailbox the laundromat owners have on their storage/maintenance room door to ask if they had found my blankets and could I come pick them up at some point. Tonight I got a call just as I was about to leave work (half an hour late, because see above in re: day of interruptions) saying my blankets were locked in the storage room and I could come get them any time within the next half hour.
So I did, and I am relieved because I like that fleece throw (it has a flaming chalice printed on it! it is one of the most UU things I own!) and because I'd rather not have to bother finding a new, good-quality summer blanket. I mean, my current one is older than I am and beat to heck and back, but it's stretchy and has a good weight despite being not too warm (it's a loose weave of heavy cotton strands, basically) and I'm not sure I could find a commercially-made blanket in that style anymore.

Anyway, I'm going to go eat dinner now, and then mentally prepare myself for an aggravating morning because I am trying to help a tenant transfer from one apartment to another (not usually an option, mid-lease, but there are good reasons for pushing this particular transfer through, some of which boil down to "Why did Ms. Busywork let this person rent their current apartment? It's a terrible mismatch for their needs and they're absolutely right it's not going to work long-term," and others of which boil down to "I would rather have a few days of aggravation and extra work now than an entire winter of aggravation, please and thank you") and I already know the process is going to be a pain and eat a good portion of my day. *sigh*
