1. Sunday was moderately productive, in that I did two tax returns and made a bunch of phone calls -- no actual appointments to show for them (yet), but I left a bunch of messages and also helpfully explained to some long-time clients that no, the state of NY will not be mailing your 1099-G form with your unemployment payments; instead, you must log on to the state Dept. of Labor website and print it out yourself. Once they have those forms I think they will schedule an appointment, and will hopefully be feeling positive toward me for the advice. :)

2. Today I did a lot of package stuff in Collegetown, as well as a bunch of scanning and filing, and also tried to do a fair amount of downtown stuff via email which is always a little awkward since I'm not physically in the same office. Ah well, so it goes.

I have also identified another apartment for which video was definitely taken -- I saw Lawyer Man and Mr. Geniality record it! -- and yet I cannot find the footage for love or money. *headdesk* I think I need to download the entire contents of the iPhone, regardless of whether I think I've already downloaded them, and maybe start searching through various incoherently-labelled folders in the shared office drive to see if things got lost there.

Otherwise we may just have to do the video all over again. Which is doable -- two of the apartments with lost footage are currently vacant -- but extremely annoying.

...

None of the video that I have shot has gone missing, because I am a responsible person who downloads my footage the same day or with at most a 1-day gap.

I really should have made a bigger point of wresting the iPhone away from Lawyer Man much sooner. That would have avoided so many headaches.

3. I have figured out why I've been having trouble remembering my rent payments this past year or so. It's because I used to write and mail checks for my two credit cards and my rent all at the same time. I have switched to paying my credit cards electronically via direct deposit (and also only getting email bills rather than paper bills) so I no longer have that physical reminder to pay my rent.

I should figure out how to set a reminder on my phone.

Also, I have paid my March rent, and made my 2020 IRA contributions.

4. This morning I had my pre-surgery Covid test. The results should be in tomorrow, since Cayuga Medical Center has a local test analysis facility.

Tomorrow morning I will get a phone call to talk about anesthesia and do a pre-op interview. I have filled out several sheets of paper in preparation. I think I am also supposed to call Cayuga Med to discuss payment plans, which has reminded me that I actually don't know what my insurance will and won't cover with regard to this surgery. I mean, I think it covers some parts! I'm just not sure which and what percentage.

Fortunately I do have some money saved up, unlike the time some years back when an ambulance ride nearly broke my annual budget. (One of the nice things about Obamacare: ambulance rides are now part of the things an insurance plan is required to cover, not an optional add-on! I have not needed an ambulance ride since that rule went into effect, but I'm still glad it exists.)

I am pretty sure my family will also chip in if the cost gets prohibitive, but I don't expect that to be necessary.
