I finished chapter 6 of "Guardian" last night. It needs some edits, though, so I won't post it until tomorrow.

Anyway, I used my holiday (no work, no open comp. labs) to get a number of useful chores done. I went grocery shopping, did laundry, repotted three plants, vacuumed, made some phone calls I'd been postponing, cleaned the bathroom, and dusted my bookshelves.

Sadly, I didn't get around to repairing some torn clothing. Instead, I worked on editing "Finding Marea" (now at 15,900 words -- grrr, argh! -- but flowing better) and on writing "Guardian."

The weather was absolutely disgusting: mid-nineties and so humid the air practically dripped even when it wasn't raining... which was only half the day, because all that water has to go somewhere, and 'somewhere' is generally defined as 'down.' *sigh*

Also, I have discovered that Ritz crackers with the baked vegetable flavor are quite good, though perhaps a bit over-salted for my taste. (And I like salt, so this is saying something.)
