tea and honey and NyQuil
Mar. 12th, 2022 12:12 pmIiiiiiiii am at work today even though I perhaps should not be.
Both because I am still sick (wow, I have NOT missed serious colds these past two years -- one small silver lining to pandemic restrictions is that any measure strong enough to stop Covid also stops the flu and less nasty coronavirii/rhinovirii in their tracks, which meant I basically got two years without a serious upper respiratory infection), and because it snowed like 4 inches overnight and is in fact still snowing now as I type (though less seriously), and clearing off a car while standing outside in a snowstorm while sick is, generally speaking, a bad idea. (I did not bother shoveling the sidewalk or driveway at all, because I have negative energy reserves right now and there was no way on earth that could go well.)
Anyway, so far I have answered some email, accept the mail delivery, explained the subletting process to a tenant, schedule a tour for next weekend, and tried twice to help a tenant with an internet problem that I believe I have now resolved. (In brief, the tenant lives in a 3-bedroom apartment. One of their roommates seems to have changed the router password while away on vacation, and refuses to divulge any password or network information except in person. So the hapless tenant is now going to buy their own router to set up in their own bedroom. *headdesk*)
I think in about half an hour (once my latest dose of NyQuil has hopefully kicked in a bit), I shall go in search of lunch, after which I may fall quietly asleep at my desk for a couple hours until the 4pm tour I have scheduled.
Ugh.
