My coworker Mr. Geniality is on vacation this week -- which, good for him! Use those banked hours! He and his wife went to London for a David Gray concert (she is a huge David Gray fan) and decided to also spend a couple days in Paris as long as they were already across the Atlantic.

And you know, good for them! Use that paid time off! Do something you enjoy!

But I means I am wrangling both our jobs on my own, and that's always frustrating. It is particularly annoying because one way we tend to divide the work is that he answers all the incoming phone calls, and when he's gone I have to pick up that task.

I give good phone call! I have an excellent customer service voice, I can answer questions and record relevant information, etc. I just really, truly, deeply prefer not to, so that leaves me with a constant low-level grumpiness. *sigh*

Anyway, I think I will go grab some lunch before I get sucked into some task and forget that food is a thing.
