This is a list of, supposedly, the 50 worst rock/pop/rap/hip-hop/country songs ever. The ones I disagree with are in bold. The ones I've never heard (woe is me, I have such a limited grasp of popular culture!) are in italics.

1. We Built This City ... Starship
2. Achy Breaky Heart ... Billy Ray Cyrus -- I agree that it's a bad song, but I have an irrational fondness for it, mostly because it's one of the earliest ones I remember actually being able to identify. So sue me.
3. Everybody Have Fun Tonight ... Wang Chung -- Like it says, it's fun.
4. Rollin' ... Limp Bizkit
5. Ice Ice Baby ... Vanilla Ice -- I remember roller skating to this song when I was 9 or so. I thought it had the coolest bass line ever. Then I learned that the bass line was really from a different song altogether, and that the original song is light-years better than this. You know you're in trouble when the only good part of your song is the part someone else wrote a decade earlier.
6. The Heart of Rock & Roll ... Huey Lewis and the News
7. Don't Worry, Be Happy ... Bobby McFerrin -- I like this one; it falls in the "so bad it's good" category.
8. Party All the Time ... Eddie Murphy -- Eddie Murphy sang? Weird.
9. American Life ... Madonna
10. Ebony and Ivory ... Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder -- Horrible song. Nice concept -- yay tolerance! -- but it's still a horrible song.
11. Invisible ... Clay Aiken
12. Kokomo ... The Beach Boys -- Hey, this is another song I actually remember knowing before high school! And unlike "Achy Breaky Heart," this one's genuinely good.
13. Illegal Alien ... Genesis
14. From a Distance ... Bette Midler -- I sang this in school chorus when I was 14, I think. It's pretty. And kind of depressing, if you actually think about it. But I still like it.
15. I'll Be There for You ... The Rembrandts -- Bouncy and fun.
16. What's Up? ... 4 Non Blondes
17. Pumps and a Bump ... Hammer
18. You're the Inspiration ... Chicago
19. Broken Wings ... Mr. Mister
20. Dancing on the Ceiling ... Lionel Richie
21. Two Princes ... Spin Doctors
22. Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American) ... Toby Keith
23. Sunglasses at Night ... Corey Hart -- Is it just me, or am I really out of touch with modern music? That's eight in a row I've never heard!
24. Superman ... Five for Fighting -- < geek > I give this one a pass because of my mad love for comics references in songs. I heard this on the radio and I said to myself, "Ohmygod, this is all about Superman!" before I even knew what the title was. < /geek >
25. I'll Be Missing You ... Puff Daddy featuring Faith Evans and 112 -- This song is EVIL. Evil evil evil. WTF was Sting thinking? Plus, hey, the original is about a psychotic stalker! Which does not equate to a bereaved friend! Grrr.
26. The End ... The Doors
27. The Final Countdown ... Europe
28. Your Body Is a Wonderland ... John Mayer -- John Mayer is so overrated.
29. Breakfast at Tiffany's ... Deep Blue Something -- Hey, I hardly know any of the lyrics, but it hasn't annoyed me yet. Which is harder than you might think, for pop songs.
30. Greatest Love of All ... Whitney Houston -- Thematically sploodgy. It starts off sounding like a "look to our future in the children" and then takes a screaming left turn into "hey, how great am I?" Plus I had to sing it in chorus. Over and over and over... *head explodes*
31. Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm ... Crash Test Dummies
32. Will 2K ... Will Smith
33. Barbie Girl ... Aqua -- This just makes me smirk.
34. Longer ... Dan Fogelberg
35. Shiny Happy People ... R.E.M
36. Make Em Say Uhh! ... Master P featuring Silkk, Fiend, Mia-X and Mystikal
37. Rico Suave ... Gerardo -- This was a song? Weird.
38. Cotton Eyed Joe ... Rednex -- Hey! No dissing this song. We used to faux-square-dance to it all the way through junior school and high school.
39. She Bangs ... Ricky Martin -- Evil. Very evil.
40. I Wanna Sex You Up ... Color Me Badd
41. We Didn't Start the Fire ... Billy Joel -- Oh, come on. It's fun!
42. The Sound of Silence ... Simon & Garfunkel -- Hey, I like Simon and Garfunkel. Yes, I know they're pretentious. I like them anyway.
43. Follow Me ... Uncle Kracker -- A feel-good song about adultery. Moreover, a feel-good song about adultery that's catchy as hell. And which I like, damnit.
44. I'll Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) ... Meat Loaf
45. Mesmerize ... Ja Rule featuring Ashanti
46. Hangin' Tough ... New Kids on the Block -- I vaguely recall that they were this big "thing" when I was in about 5th or 6th grade. Yet I never heard any of their songs. *shrug* I don't think I missed much.
47. The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You ... Bryan Adams -- My penpal Jörg and his old girlfriend had a thing for Bryan Adams, so when I visited I heard WAY more of his songs than I ever needed to. *yecch*
48. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da ... The Beatles -- Hello? The Beatles? Come on, even their bad/incomprehensible stuff is at least interesting!
49. I'm Too Sexy ... Right Said Fred -- This song is too silly to dislike. Obviously the Blender people are missing a functional sense of humor.
50. My Heart Will Go On ... Celine Dion -- No arguments on this one! My sister played it over and over and over and over... I liked the instrumentals, but good god, what a sappy piece of cliché.

*looks at list* I draw three obvious conclusions: 1) I am way out of touch with popular music, 2) Blender has no taste, and 3) I have no taste either. Oh well.
