Pat and Poland
Jun. 28th, 2004 06:06 pmToday Heather and I took Pat to a new doctor not too far from her house. I goofed, though, and forgot to bring the minivan so we had to use Heather's car, which is not ideal for Pat. *sigh*
Still, I got some good reading done in my Concise History of Poland. I'm up to the initial post-WWI period, and have high hopes of finishing tonight or tomorrow, so I can cross it off my summer book list. (I have so many books on there! It's scary! And I haven't even added the Dostoyevsky things my dad dug up for me!)
I have a soft spot for Poland, since it's half my mom's ancestry. My great-grandfather was Polish, so I can semi-legitimately make Polish jokes if I want to. (Not that I do, but my grandmother does fairly often.)
That's about it for now.
