So. In 40% of the time, I've written just over 25% of the words. *sigh* Still, considering my usual writing speed, it's not too bad. And I got over a sticky place, finished Part One, and have outlined Part Two. Go me! Plus I worked out a wonderfully nasty little subplot involving Durthae Mordrin, the heir-apparent to the queen before Ranna. Queen Tharriel died in one of the minor plagues that periodically sweep through large, poorly sanitized cities, but Durthae's death, which led to Ranna's election as queen, was... suspicious. *evil grin*

(Ranna had nothing to do with it. But this is going to work into wonderful tangles with the Inner Council and a few foreign ambassadors.)
