Voila! Chapter 9 of 'Apartment Manager,' in which Naruto is unspeakably cute, Yukiko and her cousin gossip about their family, Iruka is sneaky, Naga summons a raven, the author makes assumptions about the social structure of Konoha, and Gai and Kakashi don't actually appear.

Chapter 10 should contain actual fighting, as we move into the third test of the chuunin exam. Poor Yukiko gets to go first, in front of a whole arena full of people...

I am about the least romantic person alive, I like things to be stable and secure, I'm artistic and spiritual, and I'm an introvert. Like this is news?

Am now heading home to add a drawstring to a pair of pajama pants whose elastic has lost its elasticity. I could go buy a new pair of PJs, but that seems so pointless when I can fix this pair so easily and cheaply.

I am quite good at making do. :-)
