world-building exercises
Mar. 31st, 2005 11:15 amI finished my current mini-project and am waiting for K (my boss) to finish a phone call and explain the next mini-project to me. Therefore, I shall work on fic stuff and randomly post it on lj, because I am just that bored.
*sketches quick and dirty apartment building blueprints*
Right. I think I may have to go back through 'Apartment Manager' and fix some room numbers. Also, there seems to be a fair bit of unused space on the ground floor; either there are a couple ground floor apartments in the back of the building, or Yukiko is storing a heck of a lot of junk. Which seems silly, because I'm sure she has a basement for that.
Unless a couple of those rooms are for laundry... and possibly bicycle storage... and maybe another common room besides the quiet one -- this one could have a television and be suitable for weekend parties that don't fit well in a small apartment. And you'd have to reserve it ahead of time with Yukiko so as to avoid conflicts.
Heh. Pinning things down doesn't close off story options. It opens up new ones you'd never otherwise consider.
