I may be going down to New Jersey in early September, if I haven't found regular employment by then. See, Gigi, my parents' dog, is not doing very well -- she's 15 years old and has kidney problems -- and my parents are going to Lisbon so my dad can give a paper at some conference. The original plan was to bring Gigi up to my place, but that was before A) my job ended and B) her kidney problems started. In New Jersey, it would be much easier to respond to any problems, and I would have the use of my parents' cars.

Also, I could spend some time with Susan and Pat, which would be nice.

Well. Anyway, I wrote some more of "Apartment Manager" chapter 16 -- started the fight between Iruka and Kafunnokaze -- and also started working on my new translation for INSTAP. It's very technical, and includes some transliterations of hierogyphics, which fortunately do not need translation. Though I think I recall, from something I read several years ago, that 'nfr' would be 'nefer' which means something like 'beauty' or 'beautiful.'

My mind is full of similar useless bits of information. But can I remember daily tasks from one day to the next? No. *sigh*
